There may be more information about MTF (male-to-female) transgender individuals than FTM (female-to-male) transgender individuals for a few reasons. Historically, society has placed more emphasis on gender transition from male to female, which has led to more visibility and discussion around MTF individuals. Additionally, there may be a greater focus on MTF individuals in media and popular culture, leading to more information being available. There may also be a lack of representation and visibility for FTM individuals, leading to less information being readily accessible. Overall, these factors contribute to the disparity in available information about MTF and FTM individuals. **

Transgender women (MTF) may receive hormone replacement therapy (HRT) as part of their transition. This typically involves the use of estrogen to promote the development of female secondary sexual characteristics such as breast growth and redistribution of body fat. Anti-androgens may also be prescribed to suppress testosterone levels. The specific medications and dosages prescribed will vary depending on individual health needs and goals of the transition. It is important for transgender women to work closely with healthcare providers experienced in transgender care to ensure safe and effective treatment. **
